The Catalyst Community Arts Fund program managed by CAN concluded in 2017.
Catalyst Community Arts Fund (1997-2017)
The Catalyst Community Arts Fund supported community-driven arts and culture activities that express local culture and identity and promote the values of community empowerment, social inclusion, respect for diversity and self-determination.
Projects funded through Catalyst assist the WA community to learn new skills and experience and participate in the arts.
CAN managed the Catalyst Community Arts Fund between 1997 – 2017. We managed Catalyst on behalf of the State of Western Australia through the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries.
In November 2015, the Federal Department of Communication and the Arts launched the Catalyst Arts and Culture Fund, which is a national grants scheme. This is not associated with the WA Catalyst program.
CAN’s Catalyst Bulletin showcases outstanding projects that demonstrate best practice in community arts. (PDF 7.3MB)
