The idea is simple. We need all our artistic friends to create an A4 work of art and donate it to this exhibition.
Each work will be proudly placed on display at PSAS in Fremantle during the evening of November 3 and will be available for sale on the night.
There’s a catch… all works must be A4 in size, they must be anonymous and all will be sold for $20.
So we’re inviting you to submit a work, be a part of this exhibition and come along to the opening to purchase a work… who knows? You could end up taking home an artwork by someone famous!!!
The exhibition is free and open to all (aged 15+)
State Collection curator Julian Tompkins says the exhibition aims to put art back in the hands of the people.
“The State Collection invites a wider cultural dialogue about the place of art in our lives and its significance in both investigating and helping to define who we are as West Australians.”
Artworks can be dropped off at CAN’s office in the King Street Art Centre, Perth, Fremantle Town Hall, Fremantle Arts Centre and PS Art Space and the Moores Building.
