Just a reminder that this Wednesday we’re hosting our Creative Industry Forum – The Dynamics of Power and Creative Vision When Producing Art with Communities.
It’s not too late to join this important conversation which covers a topic we’re all too familiar with, but often not too comfortable discussing.
CAN has assembled a panel of community artists with a range of experience and knowledge of working with communities to help us explore the challenges around the interplay of power dynamics.
The Creative Industry Forum will provide a safe and supportive environment in which we can have an honest and open conversation about the issues we face working in this field.
Facilitated by Lockie McDonald, panellists Sandy McKendrick, Audrey Satar and Mallika Macleod will share case studies and personal learnings from their work with community.
By sharing our triumphs, frustrations and failures, this session aims to help participants grow more confident and stronger in their area of community arts practice.
Wednesday 21 June | 2.30pm – 5.00pm | King Street Arts Centre, Perth.
