Abdul introducing poets

Participants from the Perth Common Ground workshops held in October are jet-setting to Melbourne to perform at the Malthouse Theatre as part of Multicultural Arts Victoria’s Common Ground showcase on Saturday 9 December.

Performers Patch Miller, Judy Pham, Iffrah Malik and Ocean Trimboli will join the Melbourne Common Ground collective.

CAN and Multicultural Arts Victoria teamed up to bring spoken word poets Abdul Hammoud and Sukhjit Khalsa to Perth. The performers facilitated workshops for young people from diverse backgrounds who learnt to tell their stories through spoken word poetry and performance.
