CAN and the FLOCK team are currently exploring ways to deliver the 25 March FLOCK as an online gathering. We will keep posted! Please continue to ‘save the date’ for this event!
FLOCK is a monthly forum for Perth’s independent artists to share practice and facilitated discussion with each other. FLOCK is for artists, by artists. CAN will be hosting FLOCK for their first event of 2020!
Join other independent artists for a workshop by Carolina Duca and a discussion facilitated by one of FLOCK’s founders, Daisy Sanders on Thursday, March 26, 5.30 – 8.30 pm.
Independent artists, all disciplines, all stages of career, attend FLOCK for free. Attendance is held by a fully refundable $10 deposit.
WORKSHOP: YOU ARE COMMUNITY
Identify your communities and discover creative ways to engage them. Dream up new possibilities for generating shared art experiences. Through a series of games and activities, Carolina will share their unique, generous way of using theatre tools at the service of community and play. Come join a circle of knowledge sharing. If you are an independent artist of any discipline, a community arts worker, or someone looking for new ways of becoming involved in your communities, this workshop is for you!
DISCUSSION: ART AS COMMUNITY
Facilitated by Daisy Sanders
Extending on the workshop we will discuss the WHY and HOW of community arts practice. A facilitated exploration of the value and impact of arts practice as and with communities, including sharing tough questions about ethics, ownership and empowerment in community arts.
