World Refugee Day

The Department of Immigration and Citizenship invites you to join us in celebrating the courage and success of humanitarian arrivals to Australia on World Refugee Day 2009.

Activities include African drumming, Chinese and Dutch clog dancing, art workshops and a variety of information stalls from government and non government organisations.

The highlight of the day will be a short play by Frog Prince Productions: Stories from the Suitcase.

Stella arrives in Australia as a displaced person in 1950. Jamilla arrives in Australia as a refugee in 2008. Their stories meet and lead to an unexpected destination....
