Heartfelt lyrics that embrace love, family, legacy and language are being shaped into original lullabies as part of CAN’s new language revival project.
CAN caught up with award winning singer-songwriter Gina Williams, musician Guy Ghouse and audio engineer Lee Buddle at Crank Studio in Northbridge.
The team were laying down tracks for the lullabies that were created during CAN’s community song writing and language workshops at Midvale and Collie.
CAN’s Lullabies project is a five year, federally funded initiative that promotes Noongar language and culture through music, song and creative engagement.
Here are a few behind the scenes pics of the recording process. Enjoy!
