Formation of a Community Arts Network

Formation flyer

On Thursday, 8 July 1982, 8pm, at the Trade Union Training Centre -  250 St. Georges Terrace (now QV1), community artists met up to discuss the formation of a community arts network. Three years later, Community Arts Network (WA) was officially incorporated. Thoughts of starting a community arts organisation were clearly humming along for a few years prior.

The flyer reads: Please come to drinks on Thursday 8th July 8pm at 250 ST. GEORGES TERRACE PERTH - Trade Union Training Centre to discuss the formation of a COMMUNITY ARTS NETWORK. RSVP Jenny Beahan 293 2111 Alross Whittington 323 0311.
