As many of you may have heard by now, CAN’s longest serving Managing Director, Pilar Kasat recently resigned from her position to pursue sustainable development research at Curtin University.

“My decision to resign was incredibly difficult and it was done with a heavy heart, but I am confident I am leaving CAN with an experienced team, who not only form the backbone of the organisation, they are dedicated to delivering artistic and creative programs that transform lives.

“I leave knowing that the organisation is in good shape and will continue to go from strength to strength,” she said.

CAN’s Board is working with an experienced recruitment company to find a new leader for the organisation. A decision is expected to be made soon.

Pilar’s last day is the 20th of November.

Board and staff intend to send her off in style with an homage to her South American heritage – a fiesta in the foyer of the King Street Art Centre.
