Worn Art - Carnival

It’s Be Active Worn Art time again!

Show dates: 19th 20th September, 8 pm at Broome Recreation and Aquatic Centre

All those visual artists and costume designers who are preparing something for these years extravaganza are reminded that the entry forms must be in on the 1st August 2008.

Costumes/artwork must be delivered to the Artistic Director by 11th August at: PO Box 5122, Broome 6726 or hand delivered to 29 Solway Loop Broome or by other arrangement with director.

Willie Creek Pearls will be providing the beautiful piece of jewellery to the value of $3000 for the major artist’s award.

How can you get involved in Worn Art?

Make art work to wear in the show. (We can arrange models if you are not fortunate enough to live in Broome. All models must be prepared to attend rehearsals)

Become a model/performer. There will be a models meeting at Broome Primary School at 6 pm on 13th August. Claudia Alessi our visiting choreographer will join local choreographers to help train you in performance routines.

Become a traditional Italian style clown in workshops in Commedia del Arte with this years guest artists from the Commedia Company of Australia (Sanjiva Margio and Girri Mazzella)
