Do you have an unbridled passion for the arts? Do you want to harness your creativity?
Well, quit foaling around and hoof it to Midland Junction Art Centre (MJAC) for CAN’s next creative industry networking muster.
Sick of horse puns? OK, we’ll reign it in, so long as you come join us on 4.00 – 5.30pm Thursday 7 September!
CAN is delighted to be working in partnership with Mundaring Arts Centre (MAC) to put the spotlight on Perth’s creative east for this event featuring horse inspired artworks, songs in Noongar and the chance to be part of a vibrant hub of artists and community arts workers.
As the new managers of the Midland Junction Arts Centre, MAC will talk about their plans for the space.
They will shed some light on the Horse Tales project, a community arts project partly funded by Catalyst and which is part of the bigger Habits of Horses project currently running in Mundaring and the City of Swan.
If that’s not enough, we have another special treat – the wonderful Madjitil Moorna Choir, will join us to perform and to teach some songs in Noongar language.
We can’t wait…so, giddy up and come, explore the artworks, swap ideas and network in a fun and friendly space. Join us and your peers in the community arts and CACD sector for an afternoon of sharing, inspiration and song.
Free for CAN and MAC members, $5 door charge non-members
Drinks and nibbles provided.
