Next month, Bunbury will play host to the Australian Indigenous Tourism Conference and Community Arts Network will be there showcasing our work across Noongar country.
Geri Hayden and Marcelle Riley will host a display of CAN’s most popular community workshops – Noongar doll making, eco-dying and basket weaving.
Delegates will also be able to see some of the beautiful hand-made Noongar dolls that have just returned from touring the country as part of the Museum of Contemporary Art’s national touring exhibition, STRING THEORY.
Each piece tells a story from their creator and their connection to country.
Community Arts Network’s display at the conference will be interactive. Delegates will not only get to see and learn about CAN’s transformative work across Noongar country, they will have the chance to make their very own hand made creation to take home.
