A career musician with over 35 years work in the music industry, James Stewart has performed with world renowned artists such as John Farnham and Dave Hole, toured Australia as a performer and been involved in Master Classes as the University of Music in NSW as well as UWA. James continues to perform and teach percussion at Aquinas College.
James initiated many arts programs in his 20 years as a councillor at the City of Armadale including the Minnawarra Arts Festival, Highland Gathering and important public artworks throughout the city.
James has been a Board member with CAN WA since 2003 and is committed to ensuring the arts have the profile in our community that it deserves.
