He is passionate about supporting a range of mens work projects, and has developed a love for contemporary rites of passage processes. He is a leader working with men, in the ManKind Project (New Warrior Training), and with youth for the Pathways Foundation (Pathways to Manhood).
Brian was appointed a member of the Board in August 2006.
Brian Curtis was recently appointed by John Day, the Minister for Planning, as Deputy Presiding Member on the City of Perth Development Advisory Panel.
Development Advisory Panels have been established as independent planning decision making bodies comprising a mix of technical experts and elected local government representatives to determine development applications in place of local governments and the WA Planning Commission. In the City of Perth, the DAP will determine all development applications over $15m, with an option for applicants to “opt-in” over $10m.
