Alison has been a CAN WA Board Member since 2006. In her current position as Coordinator, Professional Development at Challenger TAFE, she is responsible for identifying professional development opportunities through consultation with stakeholders and managers.

Immediately prior to her current position, she worked as the State Learning Consultant for the Australian Broadcasting Corporation in Western Australia. The ABC is a Registered Training Organisation with scope to deliver qualifications from the Business Services, Film, TV, Radio & Multimedia, Training & Assessment and Retail Training Packages.

With the Arts Sport & Recreation Industry Training Council, she worked as a project manager and researcher in the field of vocational education and training. In this position, Alison consulted with industry and developed and managed projects in response to identified needs. Part of this role involved influencing policy reform in the vocational education and training sector; advising the government on industry training needs; and contributing to the development, review and implementation of national training packages.

Alison has been involved with the LiveworX project in some form since it's inception as a research project in 2000. In the following years Alison managed phase two of the research, which saw the incorporation of sport and recreation and managed a community of practice to support the project. She also supported and mentored the project application process that culminated in the development and delivery of the pilot phase of the LiveworX training program. During this final phase, she drafted the curriculum for the program.
